First Look: Isaia FW11/12

The new Isaia lookbook is out and it’s absolutely incredible. It’s a theme we’ve seen from Isaia before - Neapolitan sartorialism mixed with outdoorsman - but it can’t be beat. Isaia’s lookbooks are quickly becoming my favorites at this point. 

Along with the softly constructed, checked sports coats that we all love, there are some other interesting items from this collection. The first is a down jacket with plaid lining. The collar splays open a bit, revealing the lining, and gives a perfect frame to the face. The second is a similar piece to the jacket, but is a reversible down vest - you can wear with the solid side showing, or the plaid side. The third, and most exciting of all, is the release of a few items in Isaia’s exclusive tartan. There are some items completely made from this pattern, but also items that have discrete showings of it. For example, the dust coat has the tartan on the underside of the jacket’s collar. 

I have an interview with Isaia’s product development manager, Leonardo Genova, who is behind not only this incredible tartan design, but also the rest of the things we’ve seen from Isaia. It was put together largely with the help from my friend, Agyesh, and will be published at Put This On either tomorrow or Tuesday, so keep an eye out.
