Double Four-in-Hand
After my last post, a few people over at Twitter reminded me of the double four-in-hand. It’s not going to give you the width of the Pratt, but it’ll give you a bit more heft to the traditional four-in-hand. Just tie your four-in-hand as you normally would, but wrap it around twice instead of once. It’s a great knot for when you want a bit more bravado, if you will, to your knot, but still want to keep it somewhat narrow.
So, OK, you need to know three knots - the four-in-hand, double four-in-hand, and the Pratt knot. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?
Read about the double four-in-hand over at Sartorially Inclined, and check out the video they’ve posted, which shows you how to tie it.
