British Style Genius: Street Style
Another installment to British Style Genius, a BBC documentary on British style. This one is about British street culture. Really, this is the one to watch. Documentaries on bespoke tailoring come around every once in a while, but you rarely get something that documents what happens on the streets. This segment showcases the Teds, who adopted the flamboyant Edwardian-style suits; the Mods, who mixed together American jazz, French arthouse cinema, and Italian cafe culture; and the Skinheads, who did their own militaristic take on Ben Sherman. Again, parts of this documentary is missing (namely parts 4 and 5). However, I think the Teds and Mods are probably what readers here most want to see, so the best parts are still preserved.
