Fall Colors in Massimo Dutti FW11

Spaniard clothing brand Massimo Dutti just dropped their second lookbook for this season. The company is owned by Inditex, which is also the parent company to Zara. Unlike Zara, however, Massimo Dutti is considerably higher quality. The fabrics aren’t as thin and flimsy, and the cuts are less trend-driven. Perhaps most importantly, they’re competitively priced. Even if you were just out of college, this would be a great entry-point into building a better wardrobe. They also just opened up a store in New York City, I believe, so now they’re available to Americans.

The lookbook features some interesting use of fall colors, at least beyond your standard greys, blues, and browns. The olive and reddish-brown corduroys look nice, though I’m not sure if every man should be wearing pumpkin orange. Regardless, even if you don’t get any Massimo Dutti this season, these seem like good inspirations to reach for a bit more color this fall.
